Boulder Public Library

Much like the Industry Building in Denver, Boulder Public Library received a revamp in the summer of 2014. The idea was to graphically separate areas within the library with different representations of color and shape. Denver based Studiotrope Design Collective created the visuals that would define the spaces. We worked with them to identify the perfect product for window and wall graphics. All of the glass partitions were a frosted vinyl material that we printed on and then plotted out some areas. This created an intricate visual for each space that was not a typical application. The wall graphics were a specialty vinyl that would adhere in thin stripes to the wall and continue onto the ceiling. The graphic design and large format implementation worked harmoniously together to create these custom wall and window coverings. The result was a hit! Introducing subtle design and elegant graphics into a space can really define areas. It is interesting to see how people react to colors and patterns and how certain age groups identify with them. Here again, showing our capabilities to transform space using interior design graphics, custom wall coverings, and window films.
