Denver Museum of Nature & Science: T-Rex Exhibit

We have long been pushing The Craft of Collaboration as our mission statement at Harmonic Media and this project for the Denver Museum of Nature and Science exemplifies that perfectly. We were asked to brainstorm with the creative team at DMNS to come up with a social activation idea for their upcoming T-Rex exhibit and like most events and exhibits, the idea is to get butts in seats, that was also the case with this promotion. Alongside our typical vinyl graphics applied to the windows in front of the Museum, we created several large, dynamic, displays in hopes that people would engage with them. The T-Rex displays were created from shape cut graphics set on a 4’x4’ base. The idea was that you could stand on the base and fell like you were right there in the environment. The strategy was, again, aligned with a social media platform, instructing patrons to snap a photo and push it to social media using a hashtag. We supported this with some concrete graphics that were shaped like T-Rex tracks that were applied to the sidewalks of Downtown Denver. The vinyl tracks had a QR code on them that, once activated, provided a coupon for admission. A quantifiable activation to say the least! This was one of the most popular exhibits that DMNS has ever had!
